Overview

Amrev Duplicate Photo Finder helps find duplicate and visually similar photos across your computer and connected storage devices. It is useful for cleaning backup folders, camera imports, screenshots, edited copies, and repeated transfers.

Exact Match Scan Finds photos that are identical even when file names are different.
Similar Image Scan Finds look-alike photos, burst shots, resized images, and edited versions.
Safe Cleanup Review groups before selecting photos to delete or move to another folder.

System Requirements

Important: Install the software on a fixed drive. Avoid installing cleanup tools on removable media that you are currently scanning.
  • Microsoft Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP, or Windows Server 2003
  • Minimum 512 MB RAM
  • 250 MB free disk space for installation
  • Administrator privileges recommended for scanning large folders or external drives

Start a New Scan

Select the folder or drive where you want to find duplicate and similar photos.

Choose a folder or drive

Launch Amrev Duplicate Photo Finder, click Start a new scan, and select the folder or drive you want to scan.

Start a new scan and choose where to search for duplicate photos.

Wait for the Scan to Complete

The software analyzes images in the selected location. You can track progress on the top bar. When the scan is finished, the number of duplicate and similar photos found is displayed.

Review Duplicate Groups

Detected photos are shown in groups so you can compare them before cleanup. Similar photos and exact duplicates are separated for easier review.

Compare duplicate and similar photos

Review each group, preview photos, and decide which versions you want to keep. Use Show Duplicates Only to hide non-duplicates, or adjust the Similarity Sensitivity slider for similar photo matching.

Review grouped duplicate and similar photos before selecting anything for cleanup.

Select Photos to Delete or Move

Use the checkbox on each photo to select images you want to remove or move. You can also use toolbar actions to select or clear photos faster.

Select All Select all photos in the current view.
Unselect All Clear the current selection.
Select Duplicates Manually Choose the duplicate photos you want to process.

Choose cleanup action

After selecting photos, click the Delete / Move button. Choose Delete Duplicates to remove selected photos or Move Duplicates to relocate them to another folder for backup.

Choose whether to delete selected duplicates or move them to a backup folder.

Open activation

Launch the software and click the Activate button.

Click Activate to enter license details.

Enter license details

Enter your license key and click Next. Then enter your email ID and password and click Activate.

The email ID can be used to retrieve your password later. The password is used for reactivation.

Reactivate the Software

For reactivation, enter your license key, click Get Info, enter the old password and a new password, then click Activate. Use the resend password option if needed.

Reactivate using your registered password or reset details.
